London, UK — 8/24/2004 – Entertainment software developer and publisher NovaLogic, Ltd. today announced
that their record breaking, large scale multiplayer FPS title Joint Operations:
Typhoon Rising will be showcased at the European Online Gaming Championships
at this years Game Stars Live event, which is taking place at the EXCEL centre
in London from the 1st-5th September.
As part of the European Online Gaming Championships, NovaLogic will be running
open tournaments throughout each day and handing out prizes to the winners,
which will include limited edition goodies and full retail copies of the game.
At the end of each day, gamers will be able to take part in the largest LAN
games ever staged in Europe; with over 100 players joining the action, to
fly, drive or pilot over 29 vehicles in epic Joint Operations battles!
Visitors to Game Stars Live will also get an exclusive opportunity to play
test a level from the forthcoming Xbox title Delta Force - Black Hawk Down,
which is currently in development.
Joint Operations is the only FPS to allow players to participate in mammoth
150 player battles with no subscription fee, more than double the player hosting
capability of any other FPS. Incorporating vast maps of up to 50 km sq, a full
24-hour day/night cycle and 29 different land, sea and air vehicles to control,
Joint Operations represents a huge leap forward for online multiplayer FPS
games.
